Jewelry Care
Caring for your AURAZYRA pieces
Ocean-inspired jewelry is made to be worn — but a little care keeps it bright for years.
Everyday habits
- Put your jewelry on last, after perfume, sunscreen and hairspray. Those are the fastest way to dull a finish.
- Take it off before swimming pools and hot tubs. Chlorine is harsher on silver than seawater is.
- Rinse with fresh water and pat dry after a day at the beach.
Sterling silver
Silver naturally darkens over time as it reacts with air — this is tarnish, not damage. Polish gently with a soft cloth to bring the shine back. Avoid abrasive cleaners and toothpaste, which scratch the surface.
Opal and stone settings
Opal holds water in its structure and dislikes sudden heat or very dry air. Keep it away from ultrasonic cleaners and direct sunlight for long periods. Wipe with a slightly damp soft cloth, never a stiff brush.
Storing
Store pieces separately in a soft pouch or a lined box so chains do not tangle and stones do not scratch each other. A dry, dark drawer is ideal.
